Set in Cumbria in the beautiful Lune Valley, which lies between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, are three superbly and thoughtfully renovated cottages, specifically designed to offer superior accommodation and to which guests return time and again - Mill Cottage, Northerdale and Southerdale. These small, yet enchanting, warm and comfortable 17th century cottages were originally textile workers dwellings based on an old cottage industry on Millbeck, which still flows close by down Middleton Fell to the River Lune. The situation is simply breathtaking, nestling within beautiful hills and surrounded by stunning views and tumbling streams. These idyllic well-cared for cottages, which offer peace and tranquility in glorious unspoilt walking country, are owner managed and set at the end of a private gravelled track which leads directly onto the open fell - home to sheep and a herd of red deer. Middleton is a small hamlet with a local pub and church and lies between Sedbergh and the Howgill Fells to the North and the attractive market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, with its restaurants, pubs, shops and two golf courses to the South. Both are within 15 minutes drive. The pretty village of Barbon, with its shop, post office and pub is 2.5 miles by the rarely used Roman road and yet the motorway is only 7 miles from these hidden gems.
